Our Global G.A.P. certificate covers Table Grapes (55.97 ha) and Avocado (5.7 ha), confirming that our production and handling practices meet the globally recognized standard for responsible farming. The certificate was issued by SGS South Africa (Pty) Ltd and is valid from 31 March 2026 to 16 January 2027.
Global G.A.P. certification provides our international buyers with the assurance that every grape and avocado leaving Wesland Boerdery has been produced under audited, traceable, and responsible conditions.
Wesland Boerdery achieved the SIZA Platinum rating — the highest possible award under the Sustainability Initiative of South Africa — at an environmental audit conducted on 28 January 2025.
The audit was conducted by SGS South Africa (Pty) Ltd (SIZA Registration: 20150709 003405) and the Platinum rating is valid until 28 January 2028. This result confirms that our environmental management practices across all production units (X0018, X0520, X1290, X1334) meet the most stringent standards for responsible land stewardship.
Farming in the 24 Rivers Valley, adjacent to the Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Area, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. This Platinum rating reflects our commitment to protecting the fynbos, waterways, and biodiversity of this exceptional landscape.
Wesland Boerdery holds a Letter of Conformance under the AH-DLL GROW Version 3.1 Add-on, Modules 1 and 2, for the production and handling of Table Grapes.
The overall audit result is Conforming, with the certificate issued by SGS South Africa (Pty) Ltd following an audit on 16 January 2026. The conformance is valid from 31 March 2026 to 16 January 2027.
The AH-DLL GROW Add-on is a retailer-specific standard that demonstrates our products meet the additional requirements of key European retail partners, providing an extra layer of assurance for our buyers in international markets.
